What if my venue already has a coordinator? Do I still need a planner?

The venue coordinator is in charge of all things venue related (catering, table and chairs set up, etc.). They are not focused on the little details that you have been pinning or dreaming about for your big day. A lot of bride and grooms mistaken their venue contacts as day of coordinators and then realize that all decorations, favors and seating charts will need to be done on their own. Not to mention coordination with all other vendors and keeping everything running smoothly and on time on your wedding day.
